“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for
thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”
Psalm 2:8
God created man not to be self dependent but rather
to depend on Him, it is man’s total dependence on God that guarantees a sweat
less triumphant life. Several times in the scripture it has been re-emphasized
over and over the fatherly role of God towards mankind most especially His
children. “Casting
all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”(1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 55:22) God cares for you more than your earthly father, He said
the thought he had for you is the thought of peace not evil to give you an
expected end (Jeremiah 29:11) His love for you cannot be quantified nor
measured. But despite all these you still need to ask Him, though He is willing
to give you everything you asked Him but you just have to ask first before you
can receive from Him.
The order was changed in the Garden of Eden, because God
as your father knows what you need before you even ask, that was why he gave
Adam a wife without him asking for one but due to the irresponsibility of Adam,
who blamed God rather than take responsibility for his fall from Glory (Genesis 3:12) since then, it has been “ask”
and “it shall be given” (Mathew 7:7), the only thing that is unchanging is
God’s willingness to give whatever a man asked for. The best part of it all is
that whatever asked for shall be given, whatever sought shall be found, and
whenever you knock it shall be opened.(Mathew 7:7-8) Are you ready to ask? Then
you must also ask in faith and you shall receive in Jesus name! (John 16:24) Many people’s prayers are
not answered because they don’t know how to ask, be specific when asking in
prayers (James 4:2-3) Your ability to ask will determine what you receive as
answer to your prayer, therefore be specific!
