“But my God shall supply all your need according to his
riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
Many people today including believers find it
difficult to define the word ‘Glory’ not really that they don’t know what it
is, but that it is complicated in definition. If you don’t know how well to
define Glory you can as well take some minutes to check the opposite of Glory
which is ‘shame’ from there we can take a cue from the definition of shame to
define Glory. Glory represents every good thing one can think of, while shame
is a reproach and stands to represent every bad thing that can happen to any man.
Several times in the scripture God promised that His people shall not be
ashamed
“And ye
shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God
that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be
ashamed.”(Joel 2:26-27). Shame is a direct
opposite of what God represents, Glory is the heritage of the children of God
because our call as believers is a call to Glory “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and
virtue.”(2Peter1:3). Every call of God is characterized by manifestation of
His glory in the life of whoever He calls, who he calls He glorifies (****).
The riches of Glory are the indispensability of the glory of God in positioning
a man for greatness both in time and eternity. Riches of Glory confer honours
and wealth on God’s people. Apostle Paul blessed the Philippians brethren based
on the riches of Glory of God “But my God
shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ
Jesus. ..”(Philippians 4:19)
Glory is your heritage in Christ Jesus you are lifted above shame and reproach,
live in the reality of your calling in Jesus. You shall not be ashamed!
