“When the LORD
turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.”
Psalm 126:1
The above topic is a popular saying in our churches
today mostly during Sunday services, it is the time we celebrate the victory of
the cross over every circumstances of life. By sharing testimonies we are not
showing off but rather laying hold on the promises of God and showing
appreciation for the miracle that was witnessed. Also testimonies accords us
the priviledge to put an end to the operation of the enemies upon our lives
because as the saying goes that “Testimonies shared is the victory sustained”
(Revelation 12:11). Testimonies are the evidences of miracles or signs which is
the direct acts of God provoked by a desperate acts of men.
This shows that
miracles don’t just happen but it is rather provoked by men. Despite how
popular this topic was yet many are not really testifying but rather became a
spectators in the Church. One good thing about sharing testimonies is the
ability of every testimony shared to multiply itself through an art of faith,
testimonies stir up faith in the heart of the people with similar challenges,
it causes their faith to spring up with hope (Hebrew 11:1) for them to know
that what God did for one He can as well do for others. How then can we launch
into the realm of testimonies? Firstly, you must believe in God (Hebrews 11:6).
Secondly, you must be faithful to God (Psalm 112:1-3). Thirdly, listen to
people’s testimonies and duplicate them by faith. Fourthly, always be thankful
to God in all things. And lastly, prevail in the place of prayer. If you
faithfully observe and do these you are next to testify in Jesus name!
